Blood Painted Roses Part 18

We’re so sorry that we haven’t posted in…well a very long time. We’re really sorry. We just want to thank those who didn’t give up on our fanfic. This one is for you guys!

Here is part 17, if you forgot where it left off.:http://panicrebels.buzznet.com/user/journal/960191/blood-painted-roses-part-17/

If you’re new and what to read it from the beginning, here ya go:http://panicrebels.buzznet.com/user/journal/114252/blood-painted-roses-prologue/

                                                      Blood Painted Roses Part 18

                                                                  Adam’s P.O.V

Those last words rolled off my tongue so gracefully. I didnt need to deceive myself to know that I meant it with every drop of blood flowing in my veins. She sets herself apart from any other girl Ive ever met. She’s so beautiful inside and out. That distinct scent from her hair when we hug. I wait like an impatient child for the beginning of each week just to see her again; now there wont be seeing her anymore...

I just want her to open her eyes and see that no one loves her like I do; no one but me.

                                                                 Hayley’s P.O.V

I was so sick.

Sick and tired of lying to myself.

" Hun." Josh gently caressed my shoulder. I couldnt bear turning my head. I could feel the cold sheets ruffled under my legs; just another sign that here is not where I was supposed to be.

"Hayles, what’s wrong?"

This isnt supposed to be him. Hes not whom I want him to pretend to be. He never will be.

I stood up to fix my dress and hair. "Hayley, whatd I do wrong? Answer me, please?" My hand was glued to the doorknob. I released and looked up at the mirror on his side wall. It wasn’t the Hayley I saw a week ago. It was a distorted, blurry version of her. She was a fake.  A lying, cheating fake. She disgusted me.

"You didn’t do anything wrong; I did."

I could feel his eyes burn a whole in my back. I didn’t want Josh to feel guilty in anyway. It wasn’t his fault; it was mine. How could I do this to him? He didn’t deserve what I was doing to him. I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die.

“Hayley.” Josh got up from the bed. He was at my side at once. He grabbed my face in both of his hands. “You didn’t do anything wrong. Do you understand me? Nothing.”

Before I knew it, tears were running down my face. I did do something wrong; there was no denying it.

“Josh…” I choked out. “I’m sorry. I-I have to go." The words almost sounded like gibberish, hopefully he understood, but I didn’t look to make sure. I was out the door before he could speak.

I hated myself more then ever. The tears were filling up in my eyes. I couldn’t see well but I didn’t care, as soon as I was out his front door, I ran. I wanted to run and never look back. I ran until my legs gave up on me. It was pretty dark outside. I couldn’t see a car close by. I remembered that I had the cab company number in my phone contacts. Then it hit me; I left my phone at Josh’s house. I couldn’t go back. I guess I was screwed. My house wasn’t so far from his neighborhood, just fifteen minutes or so. I needed time to think and figure out what I was to do next.

                                                               Josh’s P.O.V

“Josh, I’m sorry. I-I have to go.” Before I knew it Hayley was gone. I wanted to run after her but I knew it wouldn’t do any good. I just stood there, probably looking like a dumbass, wondering what went wrong. I mean, I’m no expert in this. Was I really that bad? No, that couldn’t be it…could it?

Beep, beep, beep

Where the heck is that noise coming from? I had been hearing it for a couple minutes now. It was not a sound I recognized. I finally got myself together to find out where it was coming from. I followed the sound; it was coming from under the bed. This wasn’t my phone; it was Hayley’s.

I picked it off the floor, opening it, it was a voice mail. It said it was from Adam. Adam? I thought to myself.  Why would Adam call Hayley? Curiosity was getting the best of me; I wanted to hear what Adam had to say to Hayley.

Well there you go lol. Part 18. I know what you guys are thinking, finally, right? Haha, well we hope you guys enjoy this as much as we did writing it. We’re so sorry again. Hopefully the next part won’t take us so long…lol. We’re kidding. We’ll work on it ASAP. Thanks again guys.

So what?

Okay Hayley Williams is dating Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory and is that really a big deal?

He may be a tad older then her but its her life.

To all of you who are saying that he's stupid and that you hate him, first of all, do you know him personally to say that about him?

Never judge a book by its cover.

I know you all care about Hayley as do I but we have no right to say who she can date or who she can't.

Hayley is a big girl, she can take care of herself, and if he does anything to hurt her, she has 3 amazing bandmates...and awesome fans to kick his New Found Glory ass :D

Pretty.Random.

It has been quite awhile since we have posted a journal, and its about time to post another. I also decided to answer some of the questions we have gotton asked.

For starters, we have gotton messages/comments asking about our fanfic "Blood Painted Roses," People have asked if it was finished, to answer your question the fanfic is not finished. We just kinda lost interest in it and we had writers block. So we decided to give it rest but like I said we got messages from readers and well we thought it wasn't fair to leave our readers on that cliffhanger. I mean I would hate for a person not to finish a story.

So Annette and I have talked about it and we'll write another chapter, but we're still not sure if we're going to finish it in this last chapter. We been talking to some of our friends on how we should end it, I can't promise that we'll post in the next week, but we'll try :D.

We also like to thank those who messaged us about it (You know who you are ;D) You guys are truly good friends.

If you guys are just hearing about this story and want to read it

go here:http://panicrebels.buzznet.com/user/journal/114252/blood-painted-roses-prologue/

The main character is Hayley Williams except her last name is Stevens.Pete Wentz is also in it except his name is Adam Breech. I think you guys might like it.

Its not a fanfic about how paramore got started or anything like that. Its more like reality I guess.

Blood Painted Roses *Part 17*

Ok I’m going to start this out with a huge apology. To be honest, we had this whole story planned out so well that we could have typed up each part and saved it in a special folder. But complications arose and we didn’t even know the outcome. So each part has its own problems we need to work out. Sometimes we have writer’s block for months; shoot that’s the serious case we just got over. Then we started receiving messages and notes questioning whether the story had ended. ATTENTION ALL READERS! It’s not over
J woohoo. So there it is from Gracie and I, with the biggest heartfelt apology we could possibly come up with :P It’s great being back from the dead & I hope you all enjoy it.

Part 17

*Hayley’s POV*

Why do things have to be this difficult? “Wanna explain what happened back there?” Josh half asked/stated. I felt an overwhelming amount of shame rush over me.

“Eh, don’t worry about it.” I could feel myself sinking slowly in the passenger seat. Josh glanced my way and held my hand. I looked down at my hand enveloped in his; hidden and safe. Right now is not the time to stiffen up/ stop the tense behavior… The warm brown hair and perfectly tan skin, if only I could unravel the mystery in his never fading smile. I don’t know how it came so fast, but I have control over how it ends; it ends tonight.

My plans clashed with a creak of the parking brake. Josh unbuckled his seatbelt and got out. I figured I’d open it myself since I do have fingers made for those sort of tasks.

“I was going to open that for you.” He sneered.

“Ha, yeah but I almost forgot god made me with two hands intact. Thanks anyway.” I smiled with my eyes. We walked our way up his driveway and came to the entrance of a colonial era two-story house. He held the stainless steel lock and pushed down to let us in. His house was neatly decorated but had the essence of a single parent household. He led me past the kitchen, living room, family room, guest room, and so on, to the upstairs game room. Pinball machines, classic arcade, air hockey, foosball- oh my! Yup it was all there- unused and calling us out. We played Pac-man until I said I didn’t want to play another rematch for million gazillionth time and that it’s be much easier if he surrendered.

“You know,” I said looking around, “There is one game I have yet to master.”

“Oh yeah,” He said inching closer to me. “What that?” He asked completely serious in a playful, yet erotic way. I smirked in response and ran to the wall where the pool cues hung and handed one to him. “Game on.” I wrinkled my nose and winked.

“Ok well start with your stance,” He came behind me. “Spread your legs about a few inches apart and lean in a little.” Once I did so, he did the same. He placed his hand safely on my waist. He knew how to make me quiver; how to make me want him. I held the cue by my side and turned around to lock lips with his. He pushed his hips on mine. I had to return to favor; I bit his lip ring. We broke apart only to walk down the dark hallway into another dark room I assumed was his bedroom. Come on Hayley. You know you want this. He wants this. Dangit, ADAM WANTS THIS!  We shuffled into the moonlight against his door. We both gasped for oxygen. Josh stopped and looked at me in the eyes waiting for the right words to come into play. I nodded and lifted the hem of his shirt and pressed my mouth against his and opened my eyelids to a concentrated Josh. An innocent and naive Josh. I’m using you, abusing you, my little decoy. I shut my eyes and thought of the source of this pain. This wasn’t Adam. A tear tricled down as I let those regrets escape my mind.

*Adam’s POV*

The beats drowned out my morality. I staggered to the minibar and poured a glass of Courvoisier. I held my head to stop the blurriness and trampled over guys and girls hooking up/making out on the living room rug. Giggles, shouts, screams, and yells rose into the musty air. I slumped down next to Brittney making a guy from the team. I couldn’t muster up the strength to angry or sad. I could only think her and the sheer emptiness she made me feel. I took a gulp and let it tingle down my throat; maybe it’d burn out my feelings. I slipped my phone out of my pocket, dialed the number I knew by heart.

Her phone was obviously off ‘cause this came up:

Hey it Hayley! Haha that rhymes yo! Anyways, if you have something special and not boring to tell me, leave me a message. Peace.

I cleared my throat and began to arrange my words.

“Hayley, it’s um.. Adam.

Ugh. What ever happened between us?

[pause]

I love you.”

And I hung up.

No one else will have like you do.

No one else will have me, only you.

**hope ya noticed the Jimmy Eat World references through out :D buzz and comment!

Peace ;)

Blood Painted Roses *Part 16*

Blood Painted Roses Part 16

this song has been on repeat all night :D

*Hayley’s POV*

“6:58….6:59….” I robotically read the times off the oven clock. This anxious behavior was new to me, and frankly, it’s scary.

I promised myself just one more glance. “7:00.”

[Doorbell]

I felt really squeamish all of a sudden. “That must be Josh,” I told nobody but myself. I hurried off the kitchen chair and looked into the mirror conveniently hung by the entrance door. I stared hard as if asking for my reflection’s approval. I chose a white strapless- cotton eyelet dress with uneven lengths, the longest one falling right at my knees. I shook my hair around carelessly and smiled with hope in mind.

[Knock, Knock]

I grabbed a lightweight black bolero before opening the door. “Hey Josh,” I quickly greeted while locking the door behind us both. I looked up to a dark hazel colored wide-eyed Josh. “Ummm, did I miss something?” I chuckled.

“You look so beautiful.” He said airily. I was hoping my next action wouldn’t happen, but to my luck, it was too late. I blushed a light shade of pink. “Thanks,” I said softly.

*Josh’s POV*

There as was no lie in that statement. She looked so beautiful, like she doesn’t even have to try, like she doesn’t even know. She just doesn’t realize how special she really is.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

The ride to Dean’s house was peaceful and calm. She’s so witty, yet easy to talk to. Before long, we were across the street from his house and out of the car.

*Hayley’s POV*

“Looks like a full house,” he said with a smile. “Ready Hayls?” it’s funny how memeories come back by just the calling of a nickname.

“Yeah..” before I could take in my thoughts, he reached for my hand and held it in his and we began walking to the front entrance. I felt so uneasy, but we walked into the foyer like red carpet regulars. I tried my best to appear confident despite feeling out of place. Josh never let me out of his sight though; he introduced me to all his friends and I stayed by his side.

“Want something to drink, Hayls?” he asked getting up from the couch.

“Actually….yeah, yeah I’ll take a root beer. Thanks.”

“Coming right up!” he said with a wink. I chuckled to myself lightly while fidgeting with my hands. I took a deep breath and analyzed my party surroundings. That is until I felt a warm hand snake around my neck. I looked down at the foreign hand and turned around to face the drunken, weed-smoking jackass. “Hey babe, you fiiiiine as heeeelll.” His breath reeked of Bacardi and vodka.

“1) My name is not babe, 2) I don’t know you, and 3) I don’t want to after smelling you.” I said in a stern voice simultaneously twitching my nose in disgust. I lifted myself off the couch, but this guy wouldn’t quit.

“Well we can get well- acquainted upstairs. How ‘bout it?” he grinned at his sly proposition. He used his index finger to point to the staircase as if I didn’t know my way around already. Words weren’t needed in these situations, actions were wiser.

I softened my face, leaned into close proximity to his face. “Maybe another time,” I whispered with eyes glistening. I rapidly reached over for a candle I saw in the corner of my eye and shot the wax in his face. “’Cause now you’ll need to take care of that burn, jackass!” I said raising my voice then  storming out of the room. I could feel everyone’s eyes on me and heard all the small talk as if it were to me. I waited by some other couple near the entry to the door.

“Hayley?” I grunted before matching voice with face. I looked up in response. “What are you doing here?” Adam asked surpised.

“Ooh, I get it. You don’t want me here? Fine. I’ll leave.” I pouted and crossed my arms. I tried to act hurt while walking to the door.

“Nooo, I don’t mean it like that,” he said stopping me. “I mean who did you come with?” I opened my mouth to answer but my answer came to me. Literally.

“Hayls, here you go-” Josh came behind me and handed me the can. Soon we we’re all involved in this strange silence.

I had to break this staring contest Josh and Adam were competing in. “Josh wanna dance?” Adam cocked an eyebrow to my question.

“Sure.” I intertwined my fingers with his and lead the way. He wrapped a sheltering arm around my waist and we both moved our bodies in harmony with the blasting sound waves.

I looked over my shoulder and to my surprise, Adam and Brittany were basically bumping and grinding all over each other. He gave me a fake grin in reply to my shocked and twisted expression.

“Josh, want to head out somewhere else. Your place?” he nodded.

If he wants to play it like a game

Well, come on, come on, let’s play.

BOOM SHAKA LAKA!!!!  I don’t know why I just did that, but I just feel really random today. It feels great :D haha. So I wrote this part and I hope you all enjoy it ‘cause it was a spur-of-the-moment concept/idea. Gracie was originally to write this, but she wrote the last part

and I feel the need to write this one. I actually like this part, it has a little bit of my personality and pazzaz added into it. Lol. So do what you guys do best- that is read, buzz & comment ^_^

Blood Painted Roses Part 15

                                                       Adam’s P.O.V

I can’t believe it! Me, Adam Breech got moved to second-string quarterback just because of the new guy? Even though I didn’t know Josh, I felt like bashing his head into a pole. I could not wait to leave practice. All the guys from the team got along with him right away.

“Alright guys, that’s enough for today, hit the showers.” yelled the coach from across the field. Finally, practice was over. After I showered got into a clean pair of jeans and a shirt I went straight to the coach’s office. I guess you know why.

******************************************************************************

“Coach! What is going on here? Josh just came here today! He should be the water boy or something! We’ve only known him for 3 hours tops!” Could you tell I was pissed off? I had to tell him exactly what I thought.

“Mr. Breech, do not raise your voice at me in my office! Josh has been playing and training in football since junior high school. Last time I checked, you started playing football when you came to high school.”

“So?” I asked with my eyes bulging out of my eye sockets.

“So if you don’t like the new arrangement, I don’t know what to tell you…”

“Well I do. Its unfair coach.”

“Unfair? I’ll tell you what’s unfair-you coming to my office whining and crying like a little girl. Get out of my office, or you will go from second string to off the team. You choose.” I walked out of the office and slammed my fist into the wall. I went back to the locker room to catch up with Dean.

*************************************************************************

“Dean! Dude, let’s go! I’m hungry!” I yelled into the locker room. I was so pissed off I wanted leave school as fast I could. I walked around the corner and to my surprise, Dean was talking to Josh.

“Sorry dude I was just inviting Josh to my party on Friday.” replied Dean. Dean was having a party?

“Uh I didn’t know you were having a party.” I asked confused. Dean invited Josh before me. What the hell is going on here? This dude was like brain washing my friends or something.

“I was going to tell you after practice but you ran off or something.” he responded defensibly. He sort of had a point.

“Oh sorry I had business to take care of.” I replied as I gave Josh a smirk.

“So you going or what?” Dean asked Josh who replied with a nod of yes. “Alright cool, we’ll catch you later then.”

Dean and I just walked out of the locker room and straight to the parking lot to where my car was parked. I wanted tell Dean exactly what I thought of Josh but Dean would just say this stupid cliché that they taught us in elementary school “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

I hope that tomorrow I will have a better day but all I could think of right now was food.

************************************************************************

                                                        Josh’s P.O.V

I felt bad for Adam. I do not want to be known as the guy who took the star quarterback’s place. He seems like a cool guy so hopefully once he gets to know me; he will be cool with having me around. Dean’s invitation to his party was a great way to get to know everyone. Right after practice, I decided to explore Chicago. I went to starbucks to get a coffee because it was getting cold. I remembered I wanted to get a new album that just came out. Therefore, I went to the nearest music store I could find. It was Hot Topic.

I rushed into the store and went straight into the music section. I looked and looked for the album but I could not find it. So I asked one of the workers who was near the cash register.

“Excuse me, do you guys have Underoath’s new album.” I asked. I really wanted it.

“Let me check…” he said as he typed on his computer without looking down at the keyboard. “Yes, we do, just ask the worker in the back to get it for you.”

“Thanks for the help man.” I said as I was walking to the back of the store. “Excuse me, the dude in the front told me to ask you if you could get me Underoath’s new album.” I asked the girl worker whose back was facing me.

“Um yeah sure, here you go.” she said facing me.

“Thanks.” I snapped “Hayley? What are you doing here?”

“I guess you figured out my name.” she said with a smirk. “I work here if you haven’t noticed.”

She has such a way of making look like a dumbass.

“Um I knew that.” I said smiling awkwardly.

“Sure…you did.” she said sarcastically. I don’t know but there was something about her that just made me feel…different.

“Hayley! You’re off in 5 minutes, I’ll lock up!” shouted the guy from the front of the store.

“Finally…”I heard Hayley whisper. Therefore, I took a chance by asking her if she needed a ride home, she seemed rather shocked to the question.

“You don’t even know me, I could turn out to be a killer.” she said crossing her arms. I just laughed at the thought.

“Well…it’s a risk I’m willing to take.” I responded.

She laughed. Her smile was breathtaking and her green eyes just sparkled at every moment.

“Well…okay let me just get my stuff…oh and Josh don’t get any ideas because something might happen.” Whoa, I think this is the first time I was scared of a chick that is only 5 feet tall.

******************************************************************************

                                                       Hayley’s P.O.V

I could not believe I accepted a ride home from a guy I barely knew. I guess Josh did not seem that bad. I was not going to lie; He was really cute and sweet. The lip ring made him even cuter, but I knew a guy like him would never fall for a girl like me. After what happened with Adam at the Fall Out Boy concert, I didn’t want to embarrass myself anymore. The ride home at first was just awkward silence until Josh broke the ice.

“So…Hales…uh how long have you lived in Chicago?” he asked with eyes still on the road. ‘Hales’ was a nickname my dad used to call me before he passed away. It brought back some memories.

“I lived in Chicago since I was three.” I responded quickly. Moving to Chicago was the worst thing that could have ever happened to me. If I were still in Franklin, my mom wouldn’t have died and we wouldn’t have met my step-dad John, who has made my life a living hell. “What made your parents move to Chicago?”

“Well…uh…my parents got divorced and I had to choose between my mom or my dad, so I ended up choosing my dad because I get along with him way more. I could tell him anything.” said Josh with smile. I wish I had a real relationship like that with my step-dad but all he gets along with is alcohol and prostitutes.

“Oh, I’m sorry…is it hard not seeing your parents together anymore?” I asked

“It sucks but I got over it. I mean they would fight mostly everyday, it bugged the shit out of me.” said Josh. “The reason they would fight was because my mom was always traveling for her job and she never made time for my dad, my little sister, or me.”

“Whoa…I would never choose my job over my family.” I said.

“So…are we getting close to your crib?” asked Josh as he smiled at me.

I could not help but smile back. His brown eyes just made me melt completely.

“Um yeah, turn left here…” I said as I pointed to the way. “…then turn left here on Dahlia Dr.”

After arriving at my house, I thanked Josh for the ride.

“Thanks, I’ll see you tomorrow.” I said as I was about to close his car door.

“You’re welcome…wait Hayley!” shouted Josh

“Yeah?” I answered back.

“I know I don’t really know you…and you don’t know me but uh…would you consider going to a party with me on Friday night…I mean if you’re not busy or anything?” What just happened? Did Josh just ask me out? Should I accept or not?

“Thanks but I don’t know if I’m busy and I don’t want to say anything right now.” I said as nicely as I could. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it.” he said simply.

“But Josh…give me your number just in case.” Josh went from disappointed to happy in a matter of seconds. He wrote down his number in a piece of paper that he found in his glove compartment.

“Here you go.” he said handing me the piece of paper.

“Thanks. See you tomorrow.” with that I closed his car door and walked to my front porch.

******************************************************************************

I could not sleep. I just laid in bed thinking. All I could think of was him. The next thing I knew I was dialing his number. I felt as my heart was going to jump out of my chest.

“Hello?” said the other person on the other line very groggily.

“Sorry…were you sleeping?”

“Of course not…who’s sleeping at 4 in the morning?” he said sarcastically

“Very funny…and sorry for calling uh kind of late, I just need to tell you something.”

“No problem, what do you need to tell me that you couldn’t wait to tell me at school?” he asked curiously

“Well… I just wanted to say yes.”

“Yes?” he asked

“Yes, I would like to go to the party tomorrow night Josh.” I said

“Really? I mean great. I’ll see you later at school I guess, um good morning Hayley.” he said laughing.

“Good morning” I laughed then hung up the phone. I laid back in bed and just thinking of what I did. I just laughed. I went to sleep feeling relieved. I never done this before but it sure felt good to get it off my chest.

Hey guys sorry it took so freaking long to post its that we been too lazy or to busy to post.I hope that you guys enjoyed it. Hopefully we will start working on part 16 soon, but I wouldn’t count on it lol. Comment and buzz and we’ll be happy campers :D

The last night of the Honda Civic Tour!

I started getting ready at around 1 p.m. I curled my hair and put on my Fall Out Boy shirt which I got for my birthday. I was done at about maybe 2:30.I chatted with my mom and cousin before my friend Amber called me at exactly 3:00 telling me they're outside waiting for me.I grab my purse which had a camera, chapstick, and my house keys.(yep no money :/) 4 mintues after we left my house, I ended up forgetting my "Infinity on high" c.d so my friend's dad had to drive back.I ran as fast I could to get it and run back to the car beacuse we still had to pick up our other friend Jessica

So once we picked our friend Jessica. My friend Amber asked her dad if she could put on "Infinity on high" which he happily agreed in doing so.We only sang to 3 songs because they didn't know the rest of the songs lol.So after that we changd to "RIOT!" We knew the words to each song which was so much fun,but it came to an end when we got stuck in traffic.Thankfully her dad found another way to get there we got to Anaheim around 5:30.We still had time to get something to eat at my fav. restaurant Taco Bell.Once we got our food, we had to choke it down lol.

When we got to the Honda Center I thought were going to have to wait a long time. There was people everywhere.Once we parked there was a guy selling Fall Out Boy shirts for $20. He kept yelling "I got only two left.I'm selling them for 20 while inside they're selling them for 40." My friend jessica ended up buying one. After that little scene we waited for my friend Amber's dad to get our tickets. While waiting for him I checked all the hot guys I could lol...so did my friends.Thats when my friend's dad gave us our tickets.

The best part was that we were allowed to bring cameras.I was like "Yes!" lol. Once they searched us, we walked in.(They didn't even touch my ticket they like scanned it or something). There was a dude at a desk giving out free posters but you had to sign up for something. So my friend Amber and I were like "What the hell lets sign up." haha we got a poster of Fall Out Boy and one of the The Bravery.Next we were running around to find our place in the freaking big ass arena.(I hate arenas! ahh!)

We thought we were late so my friend's dad quickly settled us in and he left. Cobra Starship was just starting. Gabe was looking fine as always lol.He had skinny tight jeans on with a purple hoodie.Second to the last song was "Snakes on a plane" and yes Billy Beckett came out lol. Once they were done performing there was a 15 minute intermission.During the intermissin there was 2 white screens and on the screens it said "Enter your message and text to( i forgot the number lol)" I can't text anymore so my friends did. My friend Jessica texted "Hi Gracie and Amber." haha we screamed when it came out lol. The people in front of us were like "How did you guys to that?" lol. We're like "Read that" pointing to the screens. My friend Amber texted 6 times and her messages never came out lol.She was pissed but I couldn't help but laugh.

After that some weird dude introduced Paul Wall.He was umm okay I guess lol.During the show my friend Amber was like "Sing Lean Back." I was like "He doesn't sing lean back you dumbass thats Fat Joe" We laughed at her stupidness lol.Again after that perfomance there was another 15 minute intermission. We took pictures while we waited for The Academy is...I couldn't wait to sing and dance when Billy came out again lol.

Intermission was done and The Academy is...started with...omg I forgot lol.Sorry.I just kept staring at Billy because he kept running back and forth lol. He's so skinny and tall lol.His shirt kept going up when he jumped up lol. I took like 3 pictures of that performance.I think they ended it with Billy and the drummer throwing the drums across the stage lol.Again another 15 minute intermission...Damn those intermissions kept getting on my freaking nerves lol.

Once the people from the arena tried to get everything ready for +44, backstage I saw Travis Barker lol." I was like Oh my god there's Travis with his shirt off." lol A guy in front of me was like "Where?" (The guy wasn't gay lol. Trust me). +44 was pretty good lol. They got the crowd pumped. In the end Mark the lead singer was like "Okay he haven't sang this song in a longtime!" It was a old Blink 182 song.Once he said that all the guys meaning Cobra Starship,The Academy is...and yes Fall Out Boy guys came out in their boxers lol. I took a picture just so you know lol.

Finally they were done, again 15 minute intermission. My friends and I were taking a picture when all of a sudden people started screaming. We're like "Whats going on?" In the white screens they were showing Pete talking about invisible children.I can't really tell you much because I could barely hear him talk.People screamed from left and right.

When it ended all of sudden Pete,Patrick, and Joe popped out from under the stage lol.Fire was coming out from the sides of the stage lol.It was awesome. I think they started off with "Grand Theft Autumn." every person in the arena was screaming like you have no idea. There were 2 girls in back of us yelling like they were the biggest fans. My friends and I got so freakin pissed we yelled our fucking lungs out lol. I think they got the point and sort of stopped yelling. haha Thats what you get when you mess with one of the panicrebels lol.

The show was amazing. I called Annette during a song lol. She told me to call her mom's phone so I did.Her mom and her have the same exact voice and I could barley hear at the sametime. I heard someone pick up so I started saying this "OMG Netta Fall Out Boy is playing." When all of a sudden Netta was like "Gracie, you kept talking to my mom, so tell me again from the beginning" I couldn't but laugh lol.

My mom called during "Thanks for the memories" and I couldn't hear so I sang a bit, yelled then ended it with "Bye, I love you." When I got home she's like "You were on speaker when I called.Everyone at work thought you were crazy or something" lol. Then Patrick sang Akon lol. It's the one that goes like this "Nobody wanna see us together..." I don't know the rest lol. Pete kept laughing and singing along. They played "Hum Hallelujah" when they finished that song. They started playing Michael Jackson's "Beat it" Every started singing along lol. I knew every word to that song lol. I would write more but I have to get ready lol.

The guys ended it with thanking everyone for coming to the last show of the Honda Civic Tour. I wouldn't change a thing about that night. It was just so much fun. I can't wait till Paramore starts headlining, Annette and I are going to "party like a rockstar." lol.

Thanks for reading guys. Sorry if it's dull but I really need to get ready.bye.

*note* during each band performance they kept saying "fuck" lol. and Pete flipped off the camera as well.Oh and another thing there was a couple a few seats away and they kept making out with each other. They acted if like they were the only people there. It was seriously nasty. The dude kept feeling up on her and she's like "Stop it." but very playfully. Then they kept getting up from their seats, I bet they were having quickies in the bathroom.

Josh: Yeah…no wait…

Hayley: it’s our second.

Josh: Yeah.

Dakotah: You guys were on last year?

Josh: Yeah.

Dakotah: When did you album come out?

Josh: July 26th of last year.

Dakotah: What bands do you both listen to, what’s in your ipod or cd player?

Hayley: Well, Underoath’s new record just came out so we’ve been listening to that a lot, it’s amazing. Let’s see….Mute Math we love, we always listen to the Chariot, that’ll never get old. Um, gosh I don’t know I can’t really think of anything. The Refused DVD…

Josh: Yeah… we’ve been listening to Family Force Five, we love them.

Hayley: Those guys are all cool.

Dakotah: What bands influenced you guys, what did you listen to growing up?

Hayley: When I was really young I listened to a lot of soul and funk music with my family and from there it kind of just went to like, my mom was really into pop and dance stuff because she was a dancer. She did ballet but she also did crazy jazz stuff so I was into that, and then my dad would listen to classic rock so I got a really wide variety of stuff growing up, but once I was old enough to make my own choices, I don’t know. I moved to Nashville and met Zac and Josh and they showed me to bands like Failure and Thursday, Sunny Day Real Estate, Deathcab, Those kinds of bands really…..um, that’s kind of why I am here.

Dakotah: What’s it like being on tour with a band like Thursday?

Josh: It’s amazing.

Hayley: Oh my gosh

Dakotah: Are they nice guys?

Hayley: Yeah. They are.

Josh: They’re awesome.

Dakotah: So, you grow up listening to them and now you’re on tour with them. Amazing.

Josh: Yeah. It’s so weird.

Dakotah: Okay, crunchy or creamy peanut butter?

Josh: Creamy

Hayley: Yes.

Dakotah: You guys like creamy? I like crunchy.

Hayley: Hunter likes crunchy.

Josh: It’s not like it tastes any different, but peanut butter and jelly is suppose to be smooth.

Dakotah: What kind of jelly? I like Raspberry jelly.

Josh: Strawberry.

Hayley: I kinda don’t really care, that much.

Josh: Strawberry’s the best. Strawberry is the best.

Hayley: Raspberry I think I would like.

Josh: I haven’t had raspberry, well I think I have…. But it’s been a while.

Hayley: There’s this omish community like 20 minutes out of Franklin where we live, and they make jelly’s and stuff and jams… Oh my gosh. They make the best friggin stuff. But I eat strawberry more.

Dakotah: So, how are you guys dealing with the Arizona heat?

Hayley: Not to good right now. We just got out into it and we’re already like baahh.

Josh: What’s the temperature? Do you guys know?

Dakotah: I think it’s about 115. I am from Los Angeles though.

Josh: 1 what?

Dakotah: 115.

Josh: Man.

Dakotah: I lived here for about 4 years, but I am from California.

Josh: California’s nice.

Dakotah: Yeah. You guys are going there the 7th, 11th and 12th right?

Hayley: Ventura, Fresno, San Diego. We don’t really now actually.

Dakotah: Are you guys on a tour bus, or are you flying to each state?

Josh: Yeah, we’re on a tour bus.

Hayley: Yeah

Dakotah: Do you hate it or….

Josh: No, we love it.

Hayley: You know what… some of my family came to visit, actually all of our family’s have visited us so far. But when we were in Atlanta my dad and my sister came up, and they brought the van because they had to bring a lot of merch…. And I sat in the van, and I miss it. I really do.

Dakotah: Oh yeah, you guys used to travel in a regular white van.

Hayley: Yeah, like a 12 passenger.

Dakotah: And now you have this huge tour bus, you don’t’ share it with anyone do you?

Hayley: No.

Dakotah: So you get it all to yourselves, that’s rad.

Josh: Yeah it’s so much fun.

Hayley: It’s very nice.

Josh: We like to have some fun times, we do some crazy stuff.

Hayley: Yeah, it gets pretty crazy. Yeah, well how crazy can a 12-year-old get?

Josh: If we shared a bus with anyone, they’d get so annoyed with us.

Hayley: Yeah, they’d hate us.

Dakotah: I think it’d be fun….. So what’s been the best crowd so far on the tour.

Josh: I can’t remember. Atlanta was awesome.

Hayley: Atlanta was great, and so was Minneapolis, that was awesome. Minneapolis was where the guys from Underoath were sitting at the Smart Punk Signing stage, and they were waving to us.

Josh: Oh, that was a good show.

Hayley: That was a great show.

Dakotah: Well… I’m going to be rocking out when you guys are on. I seriously sing to your songs so loud in my car. My sister hates me, I know all the words but I have the most terrible voice.

Josh: That’s alright.

Dakotah: I am sure you can tell, I have a hoarse voice as it is so… I just sing really loud.

Hayley: I have the lowest most manly voice in the world.

Dakotah: You’re kidding, you must be kidding. I’m terrible. But thanks you guys, I’ll be singing to every song.

Hayley: Thank you so much.

Dakotah: Well thanks for coming guys, it was nice to meet you.

Hayley: Thanks for doing this.

Dakotah: Oh yeah. Thank you.

Josh: We’ll see you out there.

Dakotah: Try and stay inside, stay cool.

Hayley: Oh yeah we will.

Dakotah: Alright bye guys.

Hayley and Josh: Bye.

Something Punk interview with Paramore.

RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! RIOT!
                                                   Paramore

                                                 Interview by Shervon Esfahani

Alright, so we're here with Paramore, for the record state your names and your role in the band.

Jeremy: I'm Jeremy and I play bass.
Josh: I'm Josh I play guitar.

So Riot! will be in stores June 12th. Let's talk a little about that, why did you name it Riot!?

Josh: Well Hayley's lyrics on this album, are pretty bold at times, almost like an outburst. On our single "Misery Business" the lyrics are pretty...
I don't know have you heard it?

Yeah, they're pretty blunt.

Josh: Yeah she's pretty vicious. I guess we felt with her lyrics and her whole attitude singing and all sorta went with the whole theme of riot. I looked up riot in the dictionary and it really means... what was the definition of riot Hayley?

Hayley: A sudden outburst of uncontrolled emotions.

Josh: Yeah, so we felt like riot just summed up the whole album in one word.

That's really cool. How about the album art? How did you go about coming up with a concept and why did you choose the one you did?

Josh: Well, we did a photo shoot and it was right after we chose Riot! to be the albums title. And we wanted the photo shoot to have sort of a raw look to it, so what we was we each wrote a letter spelling Riot! with big markers a wall and we thought that looked totally cool. So we had an art designer give us like a mock up of Riot! just scribbled all over and we just went with it. We had one of them made orange just so it would stand out.
Jeremy: It went really well with the definition of riot, I like how it didn't look like a riot was going on in a city but more like a riot in a room. Just like everything is nuts and theres crazy stuff going on. It turned out really well and we are all really stoked that the artwork matched albums themes so good.

Yeah definitely. How many songs did you guys write before recording?

Josh: I'd say we had about fifteen written and after that ten more songs that were unfinished that were just like a verse, or a verse and a chorus or whatever.

How long did it take you to write all those?

Josh: It was a long process, I remember I wrote the music for "Misery Business" on the last Take Action! tour we were on. We weren't able to stay on the tour but I know it was the first night of the tour, after the show I went into the van an started writing it. How long ago was that?

Like fifteen months ago

Jeremy: Yeah.
Josh: Yeah so I wrote that a while back. After that it was sort of slow, for the whole album it took about 3 or 4 months.

How long did it take to record?

Josh: Just under three months.

That's a good amount of time. How did Hayley prep vocally? Did she take vocal lessons?

Josh: Yeah she did actually. She had her vocal lessons almost everyday when we were home after our headlining tour, just as much as she could fit in because obviously when we're on tour she can't have vocal lessons. Then even in the studio she flew her voice coach out just to help her an bring the best out of her, especially when she was first starting because i think she was kind of nervous that her voice wasn't going be as good as it was because we had just gotten off tour but she did great.
Jeremy: I agree, she killed it!

I bet. I'm really excited to hear the record. Why was "Misery Business" chosen to be the first single? Did you guys choose it or your label?

Josh: We chose it. We felt like that's the first song we wanted everybody to hear an sort of be like "this is who we are, this is how far we've come since the last album".
Jeremy: And it represents the album pretty well, it's not one of the slower songs on it, but it's not like the - I don't even know how to explain it, it just represents the album really well and it goes good with the album title because it's a pretty intense song.

Yeah it is. Are there many slower songs on it?

Josh: Yeah theres a couple, we wanted to mix a few in there.

The "Misery Business" video is already on FUSE, MTVU and MTV2, do you guys expect it to get bigger, TRL and what not?

Josh: We hope so haha. But you never know it was weird we just saw it on MTV2 the other day an we were like "holy crap this is us". Hopefully it'll get bigger but we're happy with whatever play we can get.
Jeremy: Haha exactly.

Alright, this ones kind of tough to ask but what are you expecting your first week sales to be?

Josh: Oh dude, we don't even know.
Jeremy: I have no idea.
Josh: We hope it's good but I don't know. We have no idea, because the last album was like what 1000? So anything past that will let us know -
Jeremy: Haha we're heading in the right direction.
Josh: Haha yeah exactly!

What did the last album end up selling?

Jeremy: Last we checked in the U.S. we were close to 100,000, and in the U.K. we were at about 25,000 records. It's cool for our first CD I think, we're really happy.

Yeah that's amazing! On your LiveJournal you guys mentioned you were having a hard time and you didn't know if you guys were going to make it through the recording process an what not. Are you guys still having trouble?

Josh: Um, did we say that?
Jeremy Hahaha
Hayley: Yeah, that was actually right before we wrote "Born For This" remember? And that's why "Born For This" happened. Sorry, I posted that LiveJournal
without telling anybody.
Josh: Oh, okay I remember it now. We were having a tough time because I guess like any band we worry, and think what if this record comes out and we sell five records are first week and five records the week after that. You know, anything could happen and I guess we were just concerned what if the album doesn't do well and so we wrote the song "Born For This". Basically what we're all saying is it's up to our fans to carry us as a band and the reason why we're here doing this is because of you guys. So it's basically up to you guys whether you want us to succeed or not. That sort of sounded mean didn't it?

(everyone laughs)

One of your guitarists, Hunter recently left the band, why did that happen?

Josh: He had other ambitions and motivations, he's about to get married and it's sort of tough to balance a marriage and a band.
Jeremy: I mean you gotta stay home with your girl, you know what I'm sayin'!
(everyone laughs)

Josh: Not that marriage is horrible, I believe you can be married an be on the road at the same time, but he felt like it was too early on in our career for him, but we're still all on good terms and we wish him the best. We're all cool.

How was being short of a guitarist affected your live show?

Josh: We've actually had our friend Taylor come and fill in just because I can't play two guitar parts, I'm not that good.
(everyone laughs)

Jeremy: It took a lot of sketching in the studio. When the songs were coming together we were listening to the songs thinking "This sounds huge!" then we would go and practice the songs and think "Oh gosh, we need to find someone else." Some of the lead parts they rip through but they don't sound as huge without the rhythm guitar and it was so frustrating. It made me really respect the three and four piece bands that make it work.

So you guys recorded as a four piece?

Josh: Yeah.

That's cool. So we've all read on websites an heard people saying rude and obscene things to Hayley, how do you guys prevent letting that get to you and snapping at people?

Josh: We sort of snap at each other about it sometimes.
Jeremy: We get so mad, she's like our little sister, you almost want to defend her so bad. Even some of the people from other tours are like "I just met you guys and I'm ready to throw down for this girl".
Josh: It's just ridiculous how much nerve people can have just saying some of the crap that they say. It's like what's the point you know? We can't stop it though, so we just have to learn to deal with it.

I saw a video on YouTube where someone threw a condom at her at warped tour.

Jeremy:Yeah and it's like theres not anything you can do about that either, like grab a gun "Who was it?!"

So Warped Tour for your third year in a row, that's got to be difficult yet exciting. How has every year been different?

Josh: Well the first year was the Sugar Girl stage and the stage was about the size of the couch Jeremy is sitting on haha (a small two person couch). It was like a truck bed that opened up. Zach our drummer was practically inside the truck.
Jeremy: Baking like in a oven haha.
Josh: And I would walk back and do some gay jump and hit my head on something and Jeremy would nail his bass on something.
Jeremy: It was so great though because we were a young band just starting off and just paying their dues. It was fun, we really worked hard that first year to push are band, filling out fliers everyday telling people what time we were playing. Then last year Kevin Lyman was so good to us, he bumped us up to the Hurley/Volcom stage and he even let us play 5 dates on the main stage, that was such a blessing.
Jeremy: It really was, 'cause the first year we were paying are dues it's kind of hard being in that position because you look at the big stages and think "Man, I wanna play right there, that's gotta be so much fun to play right there." It was still a lot of fun, I wouldn't take it back for anything. We had to work a lot and we didn't have a whole lot of experience and especially on that kind of touring with long long travels. We didn't even know much about the small things, like having dollies and stuff we ended up having to carry are merch boxes forever just to get to one place. It was really hard but I think it taught us a lot.
Josh: Then this year we're on the main stage and I don't even know what to expect, it's going to be weird.
Jeremy: Me either. See, we're the kind of band that will always help load in an load out with our equipment and people at the venues will be say "You're the first band I've seen doing that."
We feel bad having techs, we're not the kind of people that will be like "Here take care of that."

That's really nice of you guys. What's your set list going to be like on Warped Tour between new songs and older songs?

Josh: We're not sure yet, right now on our headlining tour we're playing 4 new songs out of 11. That's going well but it's good to play old songs because that's what all fans are familiar with and that's what makes them go crazy. Then when we'll play something new besides "Misery Business" because they all know that but when you play something new it's different because they're still learning it and can't sing along and stuff. So on Warped Tour we'll try to find a really good balance between the old and the new.
Jeremy: Then if it starts going really well maybe we'll add another new song. We still have to talk about all of it but we'll surprise you haha.

What are your favorite songs on RIOT!

Josh: I love "Misery Business" that's my favorite.
Jeremy: I like "For a Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic" that's my favorite.

Cool, now for some miscellaneous stuff. Who are some of your favorite bands to tour with?

Jeremy: This Providence is always fun, we love those guys and we get along with them so well.
Josh: Acceptance was great when they were together, we had so much fun with them.
Jeremy: So was Simple Plan, I thought that maybe we would see them a couple times but they were asking us to hang out all the time it was a lot of fun. I didn't really expect that from those guys but we miss them.

Does your bus have a name?

Josh: Oh man! We haven't ever thought about that!
Jeremy: Well we're coming up with one right now!
(everyone laughs)

Hayley:Gus Bus! We watched that last night.
Josh: Yeah!
Jeremy: Yeah, we'll call it Gus Bus!
(everyone laughs)

What are some must have things on tour?

Josh: Water.
Jeremy: Lots of water, computer with internet.
Josh: Cell phones of course.
Jeremy: Cereal.
Josh: A bunch of junk food, actually that's not necessary.
Jeremy: Oh, come on, it's totally necessary!
(everyone laughs)

Josh: For Jeremy it is.

Alright, thanks a lot guys! Anything you want to say wrap things up?
Jeremy: RIOT!
(everyone laughs)

Josh: Well pick up our album if you have the money it'll be in stores on June 12th, it's called Riot! and we love you guys!
Jeremy: And we can't wait to see you guys at Warped Tour!
Josh: Thanks for interviewing us!
Jeremy: Yeah thanks man!

Special Thanks to Catharine, Ajax, and Paramore!

new Britishrock interview

EXCELLENT interview! thanks hayleyp
for posting this on lj =]

-Annette

Britishrock: So you played in Germany the last two days … “Rock am Ring” and “Rock im Park”. How was it?

Josh: It was great … tons and tons of kids, like as far as you could see. It was definitely different though, because the kids had never heard of us. It was a lot of fun though!

Jeremy: They were all kind of bands and the stages were so big, it was ridiculous. I have never even seen a stage that big before, it was cool!

Britishrock: So do you like playing at festivals?

Hayley: Yeah, I enjoy it a lot; it’s just a complete different atmosphere than being on a club tour. Like there are so many other bands around, your friends. It’s different food, different music, the surroundings … there is like tons of different types of people. I love that!

Britishrock: Do you prefer normal club gigs?

Josh: Neither one … we like both!

Jeremy: Whenever you are playing one, you kind of miss the other one. We are all really excited for Warped Tour, cause it’s like all summer, outside. But then when you are playing Warped Tour, you can’t wait to get back inside the clubs. Because it has air-conditioning (grins).

Britishrock: Last year, Brendon Urie (Leadsänger von Panic! at the Disco) got knocked out by a waterbottle thrown at him at Reading festival. Are you sometimes afraid how people might react to you and your music?

Josh: Yeah, of course we think about that. But if people don’t like us and decide to throw bottles at us, there really isn’t much we can do. We hope nobody does that … it would sort of suck!

Hayley: I think, out of all the people at Download and especially Reading and Leeds, there gonna be some that don’t like your band. To whether we are going to get booed or bottled … we are just going to play our music.

Britishrock: Hayley, I read that if something like that would happen you would just lay down on stage and finish the set rather than leaving the stage.

Hayley: Yeah, I would … I’d rather just die on stage.

(The boys start looking worried)

Josh: Yeah I don’t know about that!

Hayley: Maybe I shouldn’t.

Britishrock: RIOT! is about to come out soon. How do you feel about that … excited, scared or …?

Josh: (laughs) Definetly both!

Hayley: Hm, more excited than scared I guess. It would just say … anxious!

Britishrock: How would you describe what you did on the second album. Is it going to be a lot different?

Hayley: Honestly I think it’s really, really different! In a great way, obviously. I think we all had the time to take risks and chances on things we didn’t even know we wanted to do last time around. Last time around was there was no time and I feel we were kind of a little bit timid. We didn’t try that much and on this record, we went out on a limb to make sure everything we wanted would be there. That there would be no regrets. I am really proud of that record and I know everything is excited about it.

Britishrock: So, what RIOT! tracks are you going to play tonight?

Josh: We are going to play “Hallelujah”, “Misery Business”, and a song called “For A Pessimist, I am Pretty Optimistic”. And there is one more … oh yeah, “Born For This”. (eventually they didn’t play “Born For This”, but the RIOT! track “That’s What You Get”)

Britishrock: I read the Kerrang! article. How much does it affect you when you open up a magazine and read stuff like that.

Hayley: I don’t think it really ever affected us, up until this point. We knew from the beginning, that even if we are not a huge band, this are going to be said about us that we don’t agree with. This time around it definitely bothers us a lot. We think that there is no truth to anything that was in that article. But what can we really do, other than try to defend ourselves in the best way we hope we can. I mean I know that our fans know us better than that, so that’s a good feeling. Hopefully the people who don’t know us and read that will give us another chance.

Britishrock: Did you talk to Kerrang! after the article was out there?

Hayley: Well, they know we are not stoked about it.

Britishrock: I think they knew that beforehand…

Josh: Yeah, they still put it out anyway!

Hayley: Whatever!

Britishrock: I also spent some time on absolutepunk.net …

Hayley: Nice! (laughs)

Britishrock: … and I know you do that too! There have been some pretty harsh words said about you. Do you sometimes think you should click the reply button and just tell people off?

Josh: Sometimes … if they are really rude. But then I think it’s not worth it, people are going to say whatever they want to say. There is not much I can do about that. It is frustrating, but you just have to bite your tongue.

Hayley: At the same time it is like “Do we really care?” if like 100, 200 or 300 kids don’t like us? We’re gonna continue to be who we are and play the music we like to play, whether they like that or not.

Britishrock: What is the best thing that happened to you in the last months?

Hayley: Gosh … we got to do so many cool things. I would say I am really excited about a photoshoot we did in London when we played the … Underworld. I called it the Underground a couple of times by accident, but it’s called the Underworld. And basically a photographer from Brooklyn, New York came out and just took pictures of us. Behind the scenes kind of stuff and they are sort of being blown up and plastered on MTV’s windows on Times Square in New York City. That’s really exciting, because about three months ago we did an acoustic performance at their offices and I feel that ever since then they have been just so cool to us and they are giving us so many opportunities to be heard. We are really excited about it … I mean, just to be a little rock band plastered up on a big wall next to all those models and huge rap artists. That’s a big honour and something not a lot of bands get to do.

Britishrock: And what would be the worst thing?

Hayley: The worst thing …

Josh: Probably Kerrang?

Hayley: Oh yeah … isn’t it obvious …

Britishrock: I saw one of your earlier TV interviews and Josh said it was hard for you to approach other bands because you felt like they looked down on you for being so young. Has that changed?

Josh: I don’t remember that (laughs). But it has definitely changed. I think we made a name for ourselves as a band. At first people looked at us and thought “Who are these kids?”

But we became friends with a lot of bands, so right now we feel like we are part of everything.

Hayley: And even back then … it’s not like we got that a lot. There were just some tours we felt … sort of uncomfortable around other bands but it’s all good now.

Britishrock: I’d like to ask you about a few of your favourites. Favourite song when you’re in a good mood?

Josh: I have a lot, that’s hard. What do you like Zac?

(Zac’s head rests on the table)

Britishrock: You are pretty tired, aren’t you?

Zac: I am actually really tired. This weather feels really good, I’m just hanging out!

Jeremy: Oh! I know a song that puts me in a good mood. It’s by a band called Phoenix and the song’s name is “Long Distance Call”.

Josh: I would say anything from Jimmy Eat World puts me in a good mood.

Hayley: Yeah, that’s it for me too!

Josh: And The Cure’s “Why Can’t I Be You?” …

Britishrock: And when you feel sad and like to just dwell on it?

Zac: Oh I know Josh’s! What is it? “Stop this Train” or something?

Josh: Yeah, “Stop this Train” by John Mayer. And “Brothers on a Hotel Bed” by Death Cab For Cutie.

Everybody: Oh yeah!

Josh: “Jesus Christ” by Brand New.

Hayley: There are some songs on mewithoutYou’s first record, it’s called “AB life” which I listen to when I’m upset. I don’t even know why. They aren’t sad songs (laughs) …

Britishrock: Your favourite lyrics?

Hayley: “Jesus Christ” by Brand New has great lyrics, I love those. Oh, oh! “Faces in Disguise” by Sunny Day Real Estate.

Josh: I think all of Death Cab For Cutie’s lyrics are amazing. There is this song “Crooked Teeth” which I love.

Britishrock: Are you going to be on the road the whole summer and longer or will there be a break then?

Josh: I think we will get off Warped Tour and go straight to another tour. Hopefully we will be home for Christmas!

Hayley: Yeah … I know we won’t be home during parts of December, because we are trying to get on some radio shows but hopefully we will be home for the holiday.

Jeremy: Thanksgiving was also always kind of safe.

Zac: It’s going to be a lot of touring, but it’s fun though!

Britishrock: What is the one thing you always wanted to tell a journalist, but never got asked?

Hayley: I would say: “Listen intently!”

Jeremy: Yeah, use the interviews we do and not what you think you see at the photoshoots!

Britishrock: That was something I totally didn’t get about the Kerrang! article. You did interviews with them right? Yet they only wrote how you acted on the set of that photoshoot.

Hayley: Yeah, we talked to them for 2 ½ hours, yet all he wrote was narrative stuff we did and how we looked like. So I would like to tell journalists to just listen intently!

Britishrock: I sure will and thank you for the interview!

Paramore interview!

I got this off paramorefans.com. Enjoy! It made me laugh out loud.

-Gracie

First of all, thanks so much to everyone who helped make this interview possible - Hayley, Josh and Jeremy, of course (and Zac too...even if he didn't show up :) Also, a big thank you to Mark, Randy, Ronnie and Ajax (press liasion! :) AND the band for working around our schedules (particularly my work schedule) to make this happen. There couldn't be a nicer group of people.

Ok, so I make no claims for this transcript being perfect (particularly on the cereal list)...if you want exactly what was said, listen to the audio file. It's really difficult to transcribe everyone talking at once...but I gave it my best shot and my apologies for any errors. I tried to capture the tone of the interview as much as possible...so you'll notice I didn't clean everything up into complete sentences...I wanted it to read as much as possible like we talked. Hope you enjoy!

Paramorefans.com Interview - Anaheim, CA - 5.18.07
Interviewers: Brent, Steph, Kevin, Christine

Brent: Alright.

Hayley: Ready?

Brent: No. I wrote all these last night at like 3 in the morning...

Hayley: *laughs*

Brent: ...so, we will see... so, these are questions that people on the boards had, of course, and on LiveJournal too....oh, you had the first question Steph.

Steph: Ok, so this is a really important question - if you had the choice to either wear a deep-v American Apparel or a regular-v neck American Apparel, what would you choose and what color?

Jeremy: Deep-V! Me is deep-v. What's yours? I don't know what color...how 'bout you (to Josh)? I like black - the deep-v.

Josh: I would probably wear...I don't know...I like them both...I would probably wear a regular one...and it would probably be the yellow. I love the yellow color.

Jeremy: Light yellow or dark yellow?

Josh: Light yellow...what's wrong with that?

Hayley: You do like the light yellow...

Brent: So, first of all, any of these questions you've been asked before, because I know you've done a lot of press, you can just pass...

Hayley: Nah, that's ok...

Brent: No I don't want to ask you questions you've already been asked before because we'll read them all anyway eventually...

Hayley: Alright.

Brent: So...

Josh: Pass!

*laughter*

Brent: So, first of all - somebody wanted to know - if you had your own MTV Reality show, what would you call it?

Josh: Oh my gosh.

Hayley: That's such a hard one.

Josh: Fun and Games with Paramore

Hayley: I would hope if we ever had something like that...

Jeremy: Parareality!

Hayley: I would hope it would be something that wasn't like super gay...

Brent: Like Parareality?

*laughter*

Jeremy: Exactly!

Hayley: I would want it to be something super music oriented because MTV is no longer about music...so we'd have to bring the music back...so what would it be?

Jeremy: It would be...Bringing the Music Back with Paramore.

*laughter*

Brent: Ok, that's good...let's see...someone else wanted to know whether This Providence was your favorite band before they were a band....because they said that you were their favorite band before you were a band in their little video...

Hayley: Whaat?

Josh: I'm confused.

Hayley: 'Cause remember in their video... their music video to us - they were like "you guys were our favorite band before you were even a band!"

Hayley: I would say they became my favorite band the second I met them...because honestly, before - I had heard a little bit of their stuff - it was kind of going around 2005 Bamboozle - that's when I really got into them and knew about them. But as soon as I met them - I was like, these guys rock. And they do.

Josh: They're alright.

*laughter*

Brent: Someone else wanted to know about the most embarrassing moments on the tour and whether Josh is planning to become an acrobat.

Hayley: *laughter*

Josh: Why yes... how did you know?

Jeremy: Where did that come from?

Hayley: That leaked. It leaked.

Brent: Everything leaks.

Josh: You weren't supposed to know that there's a special edition DVD attached to our new CD of me performing acrobatical acts.

Jeremy: Acrobatical moves.

Josh: I don't know if that's a word, but I just made one.

Hayley: Seriously, a lot of embarrassing moments are just funny...but my most embarrassing moment was when that condom was hurled at me from across...what city was that?

Josh: Warped Tour - Fresno.

Hayley: Dude, and it like stuck to my gross sweaty chest. And seriously, it was pretty embarrassing. I'll be honest, I got a little upset at that moment.

Brent: Did someone throw a can at you tonight?

Jeremy: Yeah, a Bud Light can.

Hayley: Really?

Brent: Yeah, it looked like a beer can came flying out of the crowd at you - I was like, what is that?

Josh: Yeah, I looked up and like glared and felt bad because I looked right at you (to Kevin) - I was like, it's you Kevin!

Hayley: Seriously though, they were just preparing us for Reading and Leeds.

*laughter*

Brent: That is probably true.

Josh: I'm going to go out in freakin' football pads.

Brent: Yeah, they throw bottles.

Hayley: Dude, I swear, there's no way we're stopping the show. I don't care if I die.

Jeremy: Don't even write that...they'll just be like... ok, we're going to hit 'em all day.

Brent: Ok...why the orange tape on the microphone?

Hayley: Ok, the first day of tour, Ronnie comes up to me and goes you...'cause I don't swing my mic but I am sometimes rough with it...and he was like we've got to tape your mic up - what color do you want? And I was like orange. Pretty simple. Not a big story.

Jeremy: Carrot.

Brent: Ok...Jeremy - why did you start playing a 4-string bass instead of a 5-string? And why are you using a pick now?

Jeremy: Ok, well...it does sound good. It sounds a lot tighter. It took a lot...these guys had to do a lot of pushing to get me to start playing with a pick. They all wanted it and I knew it sounded good, but it was always - to me, at first, the only bands I saw using a pick in the beginning were the punk bands who were like *makes punk band noises* and that's always really annoying to me. But nowadays...people play with a pick and it sounds so good...it took me watching a couple of bands...

Hayley: But you do both...

Jeremy: Yeah, I do go back and forth a little bit and I'm going to bring in my 5-string a little bit, but it's messed up right now.

Brent: What happened to it?

Jeremy: Right now, it's got dirty pots. I don't know if you know what that is...

Hayley: Dirty pots. *laughter*

Jeremy: It's got dirty pots. So, it cuts in and out.

Josh: Happened all last tour.

Hayley: Yeah, it did.

Brent: Here Steph...pick a question...if you can read my handwriting...

Steph: What's the weirdest thing you've ever been asked to sign? Done any boobs yet?

Josh: No.

Hayley: Actually, I've signed a boob.

Josh: I ain't signing no boob!

Jeremy: People have asked and we've been like "ehhh..."

Hayley: Yeah, the guys won't do it. I did it once to be funny.

Josh: Signing people's faces is always weird. Some girl asked me to sign her forehead and I was like "I don't want to do that."

Hayley: But we did.

Jeremy: We've signed a couple people's cars.

Hayley: Yeah, that was pretty cool.

Jeremy: And the inside...the dashboard...I thought that was pretty weird.

Hayley: Dude - Rich - that's his name right? Rich from New Jersey? Or from New York?

Jeremy: I don't remember.

Hayley: Rich - he's got a crazy car.

Kevin: He's got a tattoo, right?

Hayley: Yeah man...he just got a RIOT! tattoo as well.

Brent: Wow...that's hardcore.

Hayley: Yeah, it's pretty insane.

Josh: He was like, I hope you guys don't change the name of the album before it comes out.

Jeremy: He's got All We Know Is Falling too.

Josh: He got RIOT! like a month ago, two months ago. I was like, holy crap. You're craaaazy.

Steph: Ok, what's your favorite word?

*laughter*

Brent: I tried to pick the most random ones I could find....and it can't be RIOT!

Hayley: *laughter* That's what Jeremy would say.

Josh: I don't have a favorite word. I don't like words really.

Hayley: *laughter* (to Josh) I don't ever use them. My favorite word is probably...

Josh: My favorite word is probably Paramorefans.com.

Brent: Thanks. That's like 3 words, run together.

Jeremy: I don't know...I know we say "dangit" a lot.

Hayley: Yeah. I say "dangit" all the time. I mean, yeah...dangit. Seriously, "dangit" is probably my favorite. It sounds so hick, but you know you mean it when you say it.

Brent: Serious question. What is your favorite song on the new record?

Josh: "Misery Business" is my favorite.

Jeremy: I like "For a Pessimist..."

Hayley: Gosh...I really like...there's a song called "That's What You Get" on the record...I like it...

Brent: Yeah, we've heard 3 seconds of it...

Hayley: No way!

Brent: Yeah we have because it was on the little FUSE thing...they played that little tiny clip of the song and Steven singing with you guys...

Hayley: Oh yeah!

Jeremy: I forgot about that.

Josh: It sounded horrible...

Hayley: I just like the melody and the verses...and especially the bridge...it's just really flowy.

Josh: You rocked on that song girl!

Hayley: Thanks man!

Brent: Why'd you pick "Misery Business" as the first single?

Josh: Because it's my favorite song. The band does what I want!

*laughter*

Hayley: No, seriously...it represents the rest of the record so well. And it's really intense...it's definitely the most direct song, if you couldn't already tell, that's on the whole entire record...and I think it was important to get that honesty out there.

Jeremy: I think it sounds a lot like our old album, though...I don't know...what am I trying to say?

Hayley: Wait, yeah...I don't get it...

Jeremy: Alright, no...it's just an energetic song that does represent us as a band and the record...and it's got a lot of emotions in it which is another thing that we like and stuff like that...I don't know - I don't think there could have been a better song to start off with.

Hayley: Me neither.

Brent: Ok...so a lot of people asked how and when did you get involved with To Write Love On Her Arms?

Hayley: Cornerstone '05, I believe...wait no '06. Someone wrote me on myspace and was like you should really check this out it was one of my friends from back home I think. And I went and read the story and I just thought it was really inspiring. So, I actually wrote Jamie, who started it with Renee - for Renee - and I just said "hey, I'm Hayley. I'm in a band that you've probably never heard of. We're called Paramore and we're on Fueled By Ramen." I was trying to make it sound really legit - "we've played Warped Tour and all that stuff. I really want to get involved; if you're interested, write me back." He wrote me back like 5 minutes later and he was like "your band, I listen to you guys a lot and I think what you guys do is great. I'd love to meet you guys at Cornerstone - are you playing?" And I said yeah and we went back and forth for like a week and it wasn't until I got down there that I met Renee and sort of felt what it was all about. The guys were totally down for it and that was it.

Kevin: If you could play with any band in the world, who would it be?

Josh and Jeremy: Jimmy Eat World, by far.

Hayley: I'd like to be the girl that sings on their record. And you know - doing that Chariot record - listening to bands like Jimmy Eat World, a lot of bands that have the females featured - Taking Back Sunday, all that stuff - I've always wanted to do that - and the Chariot - I loved doing that because they're so different. I would love to be that girl that sings on all those little emo band records.

Jeremy: You know, like Akon - he sings with everybody!

Hayley: Dude - I'd like to be the Akon of our music.

Brent: Does Akon even have his own record or does he just sing on other people's records?

Josh: I don't know, does he?

Hayley: *laughter*

Jeremy: Or Pharrell - I don't think he even has his own CD.

Steph: What has been your favorite song to play this tour?

Hayley: My favorite has been "Misery Business" because we come out sort of swinging with it. It's just showing everyone it's a new time. We're starting over and it's awesome and...there's excitement because the show's beginning and there's excitement because it's a new song...and there's just a different energy when we play that song. You know there's something happening and I love that feeling.

Jeremy: My favorite is a tie between "Born For This" and "Brighter." I don't know why - I really used to not like "Brighter" at all and it's one of my favorite songs to play now.

Steph: Which South Park character do you relate to most?

Josh: I don't watch South Park.

Hayley: Yeah, Josh doesn't watch it. I'm not extremely familiar with it...but I know Jeremy is.

Jeremy: Cartman, because he's really gaseous.

Hayley: Gaseous! *laughter*

Jeremy: I flatuate a lot and they don't smell too great.

Hayley: Seriously...one night. We were all trying to go to bed...and we've got our curtains closed. And it starts seeping through the curtains. I thought I was going to die in my bunk.

Jeremy: Hold on, hold on. You have to understand. I'm on the top bunk and then underneath there's Zac and then Taylor. And then over here is Hayley and then it was Evan then and then Josh on the bottom. So Josh is even the farthest from me. And we were on our Nintendo DS's, weren't we?

Hayley: No, not yet.

Jeremy: No, we had just been talking and I closed my curtain and I was on the phone.

Josh: And all of a sudden I was like "Jeremy!"

Jeremy: And I farted...and I hear Josh...and it sounds like he's so far away - he's like "awwwwww! It's seeping through the curtains in our bunk!"

*laughter*

Jeremy: And then I look out and all of them have poked their heads out...and it was like six people and I was laughing so hard I had to hang the phone up. Today was really bad too.

Hayley: It was ridiculous. You can't even imagine the death that just came out of his butthole.

Brent: How many guys on the bus with you?

Hayley: At that point there was 11 or 12...I was the twelfth person - you guys were 11.

Brent: *hands list to Josh* Pick a question...

Josh: Favorite cereal!

Josh: I like Fruit Loops, Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cinnamon Life

Jeremy: Raisin Bran Crunch

Josh: Cap'n Crunch

Jeremy: Cap'n Crunch

Josh: Oh's

Hayley: Apple Jacks

Josh: Apple Cinnamon Cheerios. Did I say Fruit Loops?

Jeremy: Apple Jacks...Cap'n Crunch...so good!

Hayley: I still like the Kellogg's brand too...

Josh: Ooh, I like Rice Chex. Honey Nut Rice Chex. I love Honey Nut Rice Chex.

Hayley: The one we eat the most is Raisin Bran Crunch.

Jeremy: Yeah, we have that every day.

Hayley: Because it's healthy, it's crunchy and if you put vanilla soy milk in it...vanilla - vanilla soy milk...it's so good.

Josh: Seriously - I love cereal. I probably love it more than anybody on this planet.

Hayley: See, back at home ok, I'm not the kind of girl that spends the night over at dude's houses - but I would stay over really late and the guys always eat cereal at like midnight. Right on the dot, they always eat cereal together. So, that was like the goal - stay just long enough to eat the cereal with them, then head home - have mom come pick me up. And we've started to do it on the road, especially now that Taylor's out because from the time that they were 12 years old, they would eat cereal together.

Brent: It's a tradition.

Hayley: It is!

Jeremy: I heard about a new one. Mike Green last night told me - it's made by the Raisin Bran Crunch people or whatever - it's called Vanilla Cranberry Crunch.

Hayley: Ooooh. That sounds good.

Jeremy: Yeah. We're going to have to try that.

Josh: What are you currently reading, other than Paramorefans.com (smiley face!)

*laughter*

Brent: Do you realize what time I was writing those questions? And I flew here from Virginia to California...

Hayley: Ridiculous. Honestly, Brent bought me a book. It's a bunch of short stories by Leo Tolstoy...and my favorite one I read - "Little Girls Wiser Than Men" and it's so good. I'm not reading it at this very moment, but I read it recently and I thought it was really great. It's a really good lesson - there's a lot of really insightful stories in that book and I like it a lot. Unfortunately, I've read Absolutepunk way too much this past week. Why do I do that?

Jeremy: I've been reading this little thing called "Get On Da Mic!" And it is SO buck. It is so hard. Have you ever played it before?

Steph: Yeah!

Jeremy: It's like blebleble (makes really fast rapping noises...)

Josh: I'll tell you what Jeremy should be reading is the book that I bought him for my birthday. Yeah...I bought everybody books for my birthday.

Jeremy: Yeah, he did.

Josh: It's called "Wild at Heart" and he hasn't read it yet.

Jeremy: I haven't read it...I have it with me, but I don't read hardly at all. There was a time when I was reading and I was about to start it and I didn't...and I feel seriously awful.

Hayley: *jokingly* You should. You should.

Jeremy: Seriously - that's one of the best gifts I've ever been given because it was not even supposed to be given to me...

Hayley: That was really nice Josh.

Brent: So what about you? What'd they get you for your birthday?

Josh: Nothing.

Jeremy: Oh, that's bullcrap. I got you something.

Josh: Nothing. You guys didn't get me anything!

Hayley: Oh! (reading the question sheet) So what about the Refused line in "Born For This"? Hey! It's time to answer a question.

Josh: Sorry.

Hayley: I would say "Born For This", like the actual melody of it all, I mean obviously the storyline is obvious - it's about our fans and how they're going to take us to the next level - you guys are going to carry us and carry the tour. But - Refused - their song "Liberation Frequency" inspired, sort of, the melody for me and I wanted it to fit in somewhere because this is our introduction to radio - stations are starting to pick up "Misery Business" - and I guess "we want the airwaves back" is a really ballsy line because we've never been on the radio before. And, I kind of took it out of their song and fit it into - our fans are going to carry us to the next level - we're going to be introduced to all these new people who have never heard of us and we're going to take over, I guess...it's kind of ballsy. I love Refused and it worked.

Jeremy: I have a question for you all - did it sound really funny when we first put it out and there were no words there?

Brent: No, it sounded perfectly fine...now it sounds a little different because of what you hear live...

Jeremy: 'Cause it came out and it was like *makes sounds from "Born For This"* and normally it's never that loud because there are vocals on top of it but when I heard it the first time, I was like "what is that?"

Josh: Did you guys hear "Misery Business" when it first came out and it was super slow?

Brent: Yeah, when it first came out - and the funniest thing was all the people posting - "this is the worst song I've ever heard", "it's so slow", "Hayley's voice is really low - what's wrong with her voice?"

Hayley: We were so scared.

Jeremy: I didn't get to hear that.

Brent: It was very strange.

Hayley: But the Refused line will be on the record. We got it cleared. So, it's gonna happen.

Jeremy: It took forever. Those guys are all over the place.

Hayley: Well, they're not together, I guess and we had to find them.

Brent: They also wrote a lovely manifesto when they broke up about how they hated the music industry.

Hayley: Yeah, they don't want to be a part of it and all that stuff.

Jeremy: Well, they went somewhere really far away because it took forever to find them.

*laughter*

Hayley: I was biting my nails. It was crazy.

Brent: Ok, some people want to know about "Rewind" and "Temporary" - if they'll ever get recorded.

Hayley: "Rewind" is on the Best Buy release. We have a bunch of - here's the thing - we put out a bunch of different records - I'll tell you why.

Josh: It sounds terrible.

Hayley: It's a demo, it's supposed to sound bad. Ok, so basically, we had to put out a bunch of exclusive versions for different stores so it helps us get better deals. I'll be honest - it's not cheap to put records in and you want to get a good spot so people can see it.

Jeremy: And they'll promote it better.

Hayley: So we gave Best Buy 2 b'sides - 1 b-side, no a live track and a b-side - "Rewind" - and it's a demo. And I'll be honest - my voice - I'm kind of off a little bit. That was a bad week for me recording.

Josh: *off-key singing* "Rewind to the first time..."

*laughter*

Hayley: Hot Topic has...

Brent: Oh no. I have to go to Hot Topic?

Hayley: Yeah, you do.

Josh: You know what we should do?

Brent: I'm not allowed in Hot Topic.

Hayley: Why?

Brent: Because I'm too freakin' old.

Josh: No - we're taking you there and we're going to get you those huge goth pants, put black lipstick on you, spike your hair up and you'll go home to your wife and be like "hey!"

Jeremy: Yeah, he'll look like me in this - look at this - look what Hayley did to me *unrolls Steph's poster with the "decorated" drawings of each band member*

Brent: Yeah, you look really nice. The butterflies are a nice touch.

Josh: Holy crap. I am totally....I like it dude.

Hayley: Josh, I think you look good that way.

Josh: I do too. I should grow a handlebar.

Hayley: I like the unibrow thing. Ok, but we do want to apologize because we saw all the posts about The Academy Is..., "Paramore please don't put out 5 records - we'll buy your record, you don't have to do that..."

Jeremy: And we were in the process of approving all the designs for it too...

Hayley: They were complaining about how many records The Academy Is... put out...all the different versions...

Jeremy: Remember - all the different ones - special editions...

Brent: 3 different versions and they all have exclusives....

Hayley: And you have to go buy 3 records apiece and they were like Paramore please don't do that...

Brent: But that's good for you.

Hayley: Yeah *laughing* So, we're sorry, but at the same time, it is going to help us get more visibility.

Brent: So, what do I have to go to Hot Topic to get?

Josh: I don't know. It's a secret.

Hayley: What does Hot Topic have on it? "Decoy", I think.

Brent: "Decoy"?

Hayley: "Decoy" is "Nirvana." "Nirvana" is the working title for "Decoy."

Brent: Ahhh...and "Mexico" is...

Hayley: "Mexico" is "Misery Business." Did you guys hear all the mariachi music tonight?

Kevin: Yeah, I know all the words and everything. I was like alright!

Hayley: Yeah!

Brent: The guys in L.A. last night - the security - loved the mariachi music.

Hayley: Good.

Steph: Honestly, it was so funny.

Brent: They were all singing along.

Jeremy: It was hysterical - I love it man.

Hayley: We love it man - it gets people in a good mood.

Jeremy: Seriously, who can't like listen to mariachi and be like *starts humming mariachi music*

Josh: *adds in his own mariachi music*

Brent: If you had to listen to one song on repeat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Hayley: Mine would be either "The Rising Tide" or "Faces In Disguise" by Sunny Day Real Estate.

Josh: Good gosh.

Brent: One song. On repeat. For the rest of your life.

Hayley: Probably a Jimmy Eat World song, isn't it?

Jeremy: Yeah, mine is Jimmy Eat World - "Disintegration." That song kills me.

Hayley: Ooh yeah...so good.

Josh: You know...this actually makes me sad. I'm such an emo kid when it comes to this. Because I think about that stuff. Lets see...I have two songs...I know that's not the question...but it would either be....gosh...."23" by Jimmy Eat World or "Brothers On A Hotel Bed" by Death Cab For Cutie. It would probably be....ok...."Brothers On A Hotel Bed."

Hayley: I thought you were going to say "Stop This Train" by John Mayer because that is sad.

Josh: Oh, dang it.

Brent: If I could pick three songs to listen to on repeat for the rest of my life...

*laughter*

Jeremy: He said we need to wrap it up here in a minute.

Hayley: Oh crap. Are you kidding me? This is the most fun interview we'll ever have in our life.

Jeremy: Let's just keep going.

Hayley: We'll just be like "listen, we sold your place out."

Jeremy: We're rebels.

Brent: Well, now I feel like I need to ask an important question before they throw us out...I don't know what to ask though.

Josh: We're gonna ask you questions.

Brent: That's actually a question - if you could interview your fans, what would you ask?

Josh: What song is your favorite on the old album and why?

Brent: My favorite?

Josh: Anybody's.

Brent: "Franklin"

Josh: Why?

Brent: I don't know...because whenever I'm away from home, that song makes me think of it.

Jeremy: What about what's your favorite song on the new cd?

Josh: Hold on - I want to ask everybody.

Steph: Too much pressure.

Hayley: Pressure?

Steph: No, it's too much pressure. Ummm...mine's probably "Franklin" too...because I moved away from home to start college...

Hayley: Awwww.

Steph: No - it's not that far - it's like an hour away.

Hayley: But still...that's just long enough away.

Josh: C'mon Kev.

Kevin: Probably "My Heart"...because it has a lot of memories attached to it.

Hayley: Awww dude...we have a surprise for you guys on the new record...don't put this on the interview ok?

*quick break while Hayley tells us about the surprise - which is REALLY cool :)*

Hayley: Ok, we're done.

Brent: Ok, but I can leave the part in the interview about the gaseous part?

Jeremy: Dude, I don't even care. I'm not trying to hide it man.

Josh: Hey, I want to still ask you guys questions.

Brent: Ok, go ahead.

Josh: If you could change one thing about our live show, what would it be?

Hayley: Yeah, I want to know that.

Jeremy: Change or add.

Steph: Make the crowd take a step back.

*laughter*

Brent: Yeah, last night I would make the crowd take one big step back so I didn't have bruises from here to here.

Josh and Jeremy: Performance though.

Hayley: Performance - got any critiquing?

Steph: Tighter clothes.

*laughter*

Hayley: Yeah right. *laughter*

Steph: No, I love the show. I think it's fun. Like, watching it from far away, because I'm usually up front...

Jeremy: Yeah, I was looking for you.

Steph: It's different.

Brent: It's really different watching it from far away like that because you can see all five of you interacting onstage - because when you're down close, you have to focus on one person at a time.

Josh: That's what I do when I go to concerts - I always stay in the back.

Jeremy: Yeah, me too.

Josh: 'Cause it sounds better.

Brent: It does sound a lot better.

Hayley: I would like to know...sorry, I know we don't have much time...

Josh: They didn't answer though...

Brent: I'm still thinking.

Kevin: I'd like to see more flipping.

Hayley: More flipping? More flipping!

Brent: I'm trying to think of a real answer...

Josh: Because we've been thinking about - what else could we do?

Jeremy: It's so hard - because it's cool that we interact...

Kevin: You could start climbing something and then go upside down or whatever...

Hayley: *laughter*

Josh: Yeah, we'll work on that for you.

Hayley: We should do some more of that stuff. Alright - well I want to know - I know that you (Brent) - the first time you heard of us was on Warped Tour and that's when you became a fan I guess...

Brent: Yeah, the Shira Girl stage...

Hayley: Yeah...but what was you guys' moments when you were like "oh Paramore! I like this band!"

Steph: When I watched that "Meet the Band" video...and it was like so awesome.

Hayley: Really? That's cool dude!

Josh: Was that the one where Zac was like dancing on the pole?

Hayley: Remember how big he was? *laughter* Remember he was such a little chunkster?

Jeremy: I love that. That's so funny.

Hayley: I remember - he didn't know what to do.

Kevin: Mine...it's really weird. I went to a Plain White T's show and I saw you guys' poster there...and I was like...there's a girl in the band. This is interesting. And I checked you guys out I went to Best Buy and bought the CD and I couldn't put it down after that.

Josh: Dude, thank you.

Hayley: That's awesome. *to Christine* You got one?

Josh: Pressure, pressure.

Christine: Kevin and me were somewhere and he made me listen to it and I really liked it...it was "Pressure" and I couldn't get it out of my head.

Hayley: That's awesome dude! That's really cool. I've never gotten to ask a bunch of people that, so I was just interested to know...any other questions?

Jeremy: What about you homie? *to Brent*

Brent: She already gave mine.

Hayley: Yeah, his was at Warped Tour.

Brent: No, I saw you guys at Warped - what is it? '05 I guess? So I'm wandering around - looking for bands to listen to. And you were playing pretty early in the day - 1:30 or something, I guess...and your posters were everywhere - it was just the picture of the album cover and the couch - and I was like, I'll go check that out. And that was it.

Hayley: Dude, that's awesome.

Brent: I saw you play for like 20 people.

Jeremy: Dude, we worked so long...

Hayley: We worked for like 3 hours in the morning, every morning, doing little flyers...

Brent: They were everywhere. They were all over.

Jeremy: We were running around - we had to write the time every single day...

Hayley: And the stage - Shira stage at 1:30, Shira stage at 2:30...and then we would spend the next two hours running around the place, handing them out...kids would like spit on them, flip them out of our hands...

Jeremy: So we started figuring out ways that we could get them attracted. So we made that big sign - it was a sign that had the times on it...

Hayley: And you'd fan people! *laughter*

Jeremy: And we'd start to fan - "come see us play!" I'm over here sweating - "come watch us play!" People would love it - they wouldn't want to move. "You gotta come watch us play - please!"

Brent: You think people will know when you're playing this year?

Hayley: Oh, I hope so. They'd better know. *laughter*

Jeremy: I'm not going to be fanning people off.

Hayley: It's like so confusing - I thought we were on the whole tour, but I guess - I guess we might leave a few days early for Reading and Leeds, but I'm not sure.

Brent: I think that's got to be what it is.

Hayley: 'Cause we can't cancel again. Seriously we cancelled last year and it was bad news...we shouldn't have done that.

Jeremy: We're going to get bottled.

Hayley: Now we're going to get bottled. That's going to suck, but I won't leave. I swear...I don't care if I'm dying - I will lay down and finish the set.

Brent: Will you wear like a helmet or something?

Steph: Do you want like a sumo outfit?

*laughter*

Jeremy: That'd be hysterical...just bring things so they do throw it at us and they'd just bounce off of us. That'd be hysterical.

Hayley: I'll wear bubble wrap.

*laughter*

Hayley (to Josh): You're quiet.

Josh: I'm thinking of a question....if you could play in our band, what instrument would you play? And you can't be Hayley.

Hayley: Oh, ok.

Josh: 'Cause being Hayley would be...

Brent: I could play clarinet.

Jeremy: What do you think is the most interesting?

Josh: If you could take anyone's place...

Hayley: Oh, they can add stuff too...

Kevin: Besides Hayley?

Josh: Besides Hayley...because that's a given.

Brent: I can play clarinet...or I used to...when I was in middle school.

Hayley: Yes. We need that in our live show.

Brent: Yeah...'cause that would sound awesome.

Jeremy: So, Josh, me, Zac or Taylor?

Steph: Bass. I'd take Jeremy's.

Kevin: I think I'm going to have to go with Zac's. That seems like it would be the most fun.

Hayley and Josh: Yeah!

Brent: I'm going to go with guitar. If I could play an instrument, I'd want to play guitar.

Josh: Dude, that's awesome.

Jeremy: Alright girl (to Christine) - it's down to you. There's one of everybody.

Christine: I'm going to go with Zac.

Brent: Zac wins.

Jeremy: Hey Zac! (Zac is walking down onstage talking on his phone right at this second...) You suck!

Hayley: Well, now we know why Zac didn't come...

Brent: He's very busy.

Hayley: I was wondering why he didn't come. He's probably talking to his girlfriend...he wishes he had a girlfriend.

Jeremy: Look at him - he's looking so good, isn't he?

Hayley: Dude, he looks great.

Brent: Ok, so I've seen you guys 10 times...what is up with Anaheim? This place is nuts.

Jeremy: I know...they have been since the first show we ever played.

Hayley: Chain Reaction...ridiculous man!

Jeremy: Insane. Our first show there was nuts.

Hayley: Yeah, our first show there - I remember, it was like - we didn't know what to do with ourselves.

Jeremy: That was the last show on the...who was it - what were the bands?

Josh: The Audition

Kevin: The Audition, I Am The Avalanche...

Hayley: Yeah, it was that show...

Kevin: Rock Kills Kid.

Jeremy: Yeah, Rock Kills Kid.

Hayley: Rock Kills Kid, man.

Jeremy: And that show...like a night - a night or two before, there was like maybe 3 kids. So when we got there...that was like huge.

Hayley: Seriously - listen to this - we played in Iowa like 2 nights before like he said...

Steph: Iowa?

Hayley: Yeah, ridiculous right? Well, it might have been a little bit before that, but anyway...like....not lying....9 kids came...we were standing outside the door of the venue trying to get kids to come...we were like "come on!"

Jeremy: Kids were walking home from school and we were like "we'll give you five dollars if you come watch us play!"

*get signal to wrap it up*

Hayley: I just wanted to say...I've seen a couple posts online and all that stuff....I know there are a couple people who are worried about us...if this record takes off - that we're just going to forget where we came from and all the people who were there first. But we love you guys so much.

Josh and Jeremy: Yeah, for sure.

Hayley: We're really thankful for you guys. Every time we come here - here, and every time we see someone that we've known for awhile at any show, it's just such a good feeling to know that...without you guys, we wouldn't be here. So thanks. Don't worry! No worries!

Jeremy: Love you guys!

Brent: Thanks guys.

Paramore Listening Party- Just about the best time I've had in a looooooong time

So Gracie and I had been waiting for this Friday to come since we found out about the listening party on lj (last week). So we got all hyped up and wore our Paramore merch from the concert and brought a few of our friends along.

First, we left the house at and picked up my friend a few blocks down and we were off by 6:35. It only took us around 15 minutes and we were directly in front of the mall walking to the front entrance. My friend decided it was funny to joke and psych me out and told me there was a huge line coming out of the store. Dork wad. There was NO ONE THERE. Well I called Gracie and we met at the entrance of Hot Topic. when we got in there it was really boring and we were just trying on glasses and acting like the stupid teenies we really are =P haha. Well the people working there ended up being hardcore Paramore fans as well, so like you might expect, we became very good friends with the employees xD I started talking to one of the girls about warped and how I might go in August, and she told me she was going to one I'm planning on going on. They started to countdown until it was 7 o'clock and "For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic" started bumping in the store. I think my heart skipped a beat when I heard Zac pounding on his drums and the chilling guitar chords. It was so surreal because RIOT! is why June of 2007 is so dang special. Plus, hearing that song recorded made it so awesome because the rest of us had only heard it live, and it was a tad bit hard to understand the lyrics at first. Well Gracie and I started headbanging and dancing around. Gracie and our friend Mary hit each other on accident while ATTEMPTING to headbang. One of the chicks was like "oh my god, you know all the words I've been watching you from a distance!" lol it was so funny. haha, good times..anywho the WHOLE ENTIRE album is too amazing for words. If you didn't go to Hot Topic for whatever reason today, just know that when you get the record, be prepared for honest/heartfelt lyrics combines with different beats and rhythms. It's definitely an album you HAVE to buy. All the employees were singing and dancing to Misery Business and they quizzed us and we got all of them right and got a couple of discount cards, So, yeah, we didn't get free hoodies or shirts, but we made good friends and that opened a door for us to hopefully work at Hot topic later in the future =] We stayed in the store for an hour and 1/2 to listen to RIOT! two times, hehe.

**Oh yeah, all the employees met ALL of  Paramore and said they were so down to earth and non-egotistic. They met them and they played for them at the Hot Topic Headquarters. Pretty awesome.

A Hot Topic employee from a different store actually did Hayley's mohawk because she thought it looked so good on the girl she wanted her to do her hair like that. Hayley is so wicked AWESOME! ahhh! and the girl who told us all this will send us pictures of Hayley getting her mohawk done, so look out for those in the next coming days!

The second best day of my life. The first would have to be me being in touching distance of Josh Farro and Hayley Williams at the Paramore concert, seeing them live and as an added bonus, getting my pictures posted on paramore.org  ^_^

******random, but Hayley's headline on myspace: "psh... journalists." HAHAHA!

PEACE ;)

Hayley vents after the so called review in Kerrang!

credit to the the Paramore community on livejournal

how about don't believe ANYTHING you read...
first off, i apologize for not hanging out after the show tonight at the Underground.
i came back to our hotel as soon as i could so i could write this.

this afternoon we were so excited that kerrang was finally putting out a cover of the 4 of us.
that was until we read the article.

i'm trying to be careful about what i say because although we are pretty upset about it, it's not something that i feel like is worth the time or effort of saying something that all of us might regret later. needless to say, we could've done without a cover piece. sorry, if it offends anyone at kerrang! but i don't think there was one bit of truth in that article.

in as few words as possible i'd just like to set some things straight:

- the boys are not my bitches. haha.
-josh doesn't touch my breasts, nor do we feel so comfortable around each other that we wouldn't mind if he did touch them. that is just weird, i'm sorry.
- sure, our relationship with hunter is not the same as it once was but we still consider him a friend and love that dude to death.
- lastly, zac and jeremy are not interested in exploring a romantic relationship together.

i probably missed a few important points... but just looking at that little list right there is surely proof that mr. journalist was willing to write anything for a juicy story. however, you did get one thing right mr., i do agree, my head is rather large in proportion to my body... and we all know for a fact that i'm not a very curvy girl. i'd give anything to gain 5 or 10 pounds, actually! haha

isn't it funny that the last kerrang! cover piece we had began the exact same way? it's all about me being large and in charge. do you think it's just a coincidence? or do some people just not know how to react to a girl knowing what she likes? oh well... there's not really any point in going on anymore. i think our point has been made.

phew, it feels good to vent.
thanks for reading that ha.

so, the boys just walked in to my room and said that they talked to some of you after the show. we are really excited to hear that you guys didn't buy that crap. at least the pictures looked pretty cool, eh?

we really love you guys a lot. thanks for believing in this band and what we stand for.
i hope that we can continue to grow together. after all, with the release of RIOT! there might be other articles like this one. it's good to know that you guys know who we really are.

alright, well i guess i'm off to boss the guys around and tell them to get in their own beds... it's just so hard when zac and jeremy can't seem to keep off of each other. not to mention, josh can't seem to stop worrying long enough to shut his eyes... we are the biggest teeny rock disaster that ever happened to "EMO SUPERSTARDOM"... what a load of sssssssssssssstop here.

sorry that was really the last bit of sarcasm i had in me. i had to get it out.

love,
HAYLEY and her band that doesn't really matter, right?

okay seriously, that's it... not another word.

LOVE

ZAC, JOSH, JEREMY and HAYLEY aka PARAMORE

ps. tonight's show (@ the UNDERGROUND in London) was the most fun we've had in a very long time. thanks for cheering us up! :-)

...................................................................................................................

nicely done Hayley! couldn't have said it any better myself. That little sarcasm at the end was classiccc =] Really, those dudes at K! are total idiots for publishing that. They made Hayley seem like a whore that lets her boyfriend get "touchy touchy" with her. Hayley has morals. Respect them. ZAC AND JEREMY TOGETHER?! are you fxcking serious?!?!? Jeremy has a girlfriend for Pete's sake! Zac is just a kid!!! grr. I think this helped me release steam xD

How do you feel about K! after reading the article?

Panic! Lyrics?

Okay I was on myspace looking for pictures of Brendon when I came across a group of him.I looked through the forums when I saw something about Panic! At The Disco's new album coming out in July 2007.I clicked on to see what it was all about. There was a girl there who posted this "hey panic at the discos new album comes out in july 2007! check out sum new lyrics of theirs on mi blog =]P" I was like "WTF?" So I checked out her blog and this what I found...

*A minute of perfection was worth the effort. A moment was the most you could ever expect from perfection.*
I'm a half-completed crossword
Find your school: city state search
Oh look! Oh look! She's become a model now
Crash her wedding, she's wearing red shoes
but she hasn't a thing to wear
I'm a fighting man, but I've no hands
But if you like, I guess, I mean, I guess I could tie the boxing gloves on anyway
One boxing match in the church baby, a shotgun wedding
With boxing gloves instead of a shotgun, baby

*Matrimony is Paving the Way for Preplanned Alchemy*
As the rain falls, my umbrella doesn't always work
drip drop drip drop splish splashing in my brain
It's a flood honey, a real mach five
Oh dear, I fear a dreadful drizzle my dear
It's time to fly south with the mice
Dripping dripping dripping in my Sunday morning tea
One lump or two? How do you do? It's the monopoly guy
These mice aren't blind, baby, but I guess they don't see the light
But you know, maybe it's just dark or something baby, I don't know
It could be the wool pulled over their eyes
by father time or a gardening bird
I like to write but my hands aren't working for me
I've just created the unabated understatement of the century
It could be the wool pulled over my eyes
but that's just a refrain

I'm not sure if they're real or not.The only thing that kept running through my mind was "Where did she get this from?" I'm sorry if they are the "real deal." I didn't mean to tell half the world.

Blood Painted Roses *Part 14*

Blood Painted Roses: *Part 14*

She puts on a pretty dress and wears it all over town.
All over town.
Says, "I can give you what you want; escape from the pain.
Nobody has to know."
Stay away! Stay away!
She wants your soul.
She'll take your life.
Stay away! Stay away!
It's all secret love and a slippery road to hell.

** “Secret Love And The Fastest Way To Loneliness Lyrics” By This Providence

~Josh’s POV~

The bell rang and everyone scattered out the door and away from the classroom. All except the girl I winked at when I first entered the class. She was really attractive and had a very settled and clean appearance. She didn’t appear to be “over the top” and showy like the other girls at my old school.

I scooted over to the open seat next to her. “Hey I didn’t get your name.” She gave me a puzzled look then a sly grin fell over lips.

“You didn’t ask for it.” Then she left me thinking alone in an empty classroom. One thing is for sure- she’s got a smart mouth.

I spoke with the coach before school about joining the football team. So when school ended, I headed to the locker rooms. I got there early so I could start putting my equipment in my locker and change into my uniform. A group of guys stampeded into the rows of lockers, laughing and yelling. I pulled my shirt off my head and snuck a peak of who was making all the ruckus. When they saw me they stopped what they were doing and stared at me.

“So are you new?” One of the guys said.

“Yup, I’m Josh Farro.” I said with my arm stretched out for him to shake.

Silence.

They looked at my hand, then bursted out laughing.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!” Wow I didn’t know I was that funny. “Dude. We don’t use “formal” handshakes here! I’m Dean by the way.” He was no longer a “no- name” now.

“Haha thanks for the heads up, man.”

“No prob. Just so you know, this is Jonny boy, Jason, Jeremy, and last but no least, my man Adam.”

“Oh ok, cool.” I said looking at each of their faces. “Sup?”

“Nothin’ much.” They all said in perfect unison. Dean nudged me on the shoulder. “This is our regular routine- acting like complete idiots around school, then coming to football practice to kick ASS!” He said as he put his arm around Adam’s neck and raised his fist in the air. All the guys started laughing.

“So what do you think so far?” Adam asked casually.

“Any ladies you wanna hook- up with?” Dean butted in before I could answer.

“Well I don’t know if she’s single, or if I want to “hook- up” with her, but there’s this one girl in my first period English class-”

“WHO?!” They all huddled in expecting an answer.

That’s when they started their name game.

“STACEY!”

“No.” I responded.

“BRITTANY!”

“Hey! That’s my baby sister you idiots!” Dean shouted at someone. “Ooops. Sorry.” One of them said in a low voice.

And so they continued.

“MRS. PATTERSON!” We all laughed at the thought. “Oh wow, calm down now guys. She’s got cherry red hair to her shoulders, and amazing eyes.”

“You know what they say about redheads, hehe, right?” Everyone looked at person next to him and nodded. I honestly didn’t want to know after seeing their facial expressions.

“Alrighty…anywho. I think her name is Hayley.”

All the guy held their stomachs as I ended that sentence. All except Adam and I that is.

When we got on the field, Coach gave us our positions and ordered us up and around the field.

“Ok, Dean, same position.” Dean ran to his place.

“Adam, you’re switching with Josh, so now you’re second-string quarterback. Move, move, we’ve got a game this week!” My face dropped. “Josh you’re taking Adam’s place as first string.” Adam gave me a glare. Adam grasped his helmet with all five fingers and almost crushed it with his anger. He dug his feet into the grass and waited for my call. I looked at  the coach, then at what had just happened. This was going to be one heck of a joy ride to hell.

****This part was written by me once again. This was a little filler for you all. We don’t usually post on a regular basis and we don’t mean to post every two weeks or so, but it usually works out that way. I hope you all enjoyed this. It was thought up in 3rd period English and the finishing touches magically happened in 6th period. Comment & buzz lovers ;D

Paramore concert May 17 at the Avalon Hollywood

The concert was so amazing, it's almost ridiculous!

It was so great. well my aunt took me after she got off work. she changed her shirt and we were off on the road. well it was 5:45 at the time when we left. later down the freeway, we hit major L.A. traffic. it sucked so bad, partly because it started at 8:00 and it was now 7:00. then she said she was terribly hungry (she didn't eat anything for lunch and now she was starving herself) and that she wanted a quesadilla. then she started rambling about "where/how am i going to use the bathroom at this venue?" haha well I told she was just going to have to wait. she said that was a twisted idea. I responded with my experience of holding my pee for much longer 4 hours and that 25 year olds can suck it up. at 7:15 we get to hollywood and we found a decent parking spot where we her car couldn't get vandalized or perhaps stolen. we found a Baja Fresh, ordered a platter "to-go" so we could speed it up and get to the venue. so here my aunt is, that poor soul, stuffing her face with every step and crosswalk, and she tells me she's going to be sick for the sake of taking me to the concert. so the guilt trip comes and takes me over, so I help her and take a few bites of quesadilla smothered in green guacamole, yum yum =D after that I we were able to get in and thanks to god, there was gardly anyone there. so we went ahead and bought our merch (including the RIOT! shirt gracie wanted since she wasn't able to go) and then they didn't have tote bags which pissed me off a little. but regardless of that minor setback, I got my "This is how we dance" Paramore dress and asked the dude for stickers ( they are so wicked xDD ) right after paying, Quietdrive introduced themselves and started playing a few songs. I ran over to where they were playing and took some mediocre photography due to my height ( 5'3) and how far away i was (middle-back area of the venue) then This providence and their wonderful selves got me dancing like a fool =] hayley, Zac, and Jeremy were watching them from a distance and everyone was going crazy when they saw hayley. Som dude was like "OMFG IT'S HAYLEY, AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" it was quite funny. then Paramore's set took a few billion centuries. in the meantime, mariachies played in the background for our entertainment. but when they came on, oh god, i  felt my stomach turn because i had wanted to see them for so long and there i was, second row in the front, looking straight at josh. It was so awseome. they played all three of their released songs from RIOT!- Born for This, Misery Business, and For a Pessimist, I'm pretty Optimistic. hayley told those who had video devices to record "For a pessimist..." and to upload it on youtube. then someone threw a few bracelets to the stage and hayley thanked them and gave one to herself and josh, then one was thrown to Zac. the last one was given to jeremy because hayley said it loooked gangsta like him. it was soo funny.

***Josh gave me the cute smirk and smiled at me with his eyes. i nearly fell and died. no lie. Oh yeah..Hayley's bangs glow in the dark xD so rad =D

sorry for the errors. no time for proof-reading.

-Annette
